Energy prices ‘threat to economy’

Mervyn King, the Governor of the Bank of England, has warned that soaring energy prices could pose a real threat to the UK economy, and are one of the main reasons that interest rates haven’t been lowered in recent months.

Gas supply warning

Energy prices up at Scottish Power

5.2 million customers of Scottish power will face higher bills from 1st of March, as the company announced price rises of 15% for it’s gas customers and 8% for electricity.
